How to Add a Link to Your TikTok Bio

To add a website link on TikTok, open Profile, select Edit profile, then look for the Links section and choose Add. TikTok currently says the website option is available to accounts with at least 1,000 followers or to Registered Business Accounts, and it may not be available everywhere.

TikTok also provides dedicated connections for certain social accounts. The labels and layout can change by region and app version, so use the profile editor shown in your own app as the final source of truth.

Account situationWebsite-link status
Personal account with 1,000 or more followersEligible according to TikTok Help Center
Registered Business AccountEligible according to TikTok Help Center
Personal account below 1,000 followersWebsite field may not be available
Feature unavailable in your regionWebsite field may not appear despite account status

Do not switch account type only to unlock a field without reviewing the effect on music, commercial-content rules, and the features your workflow uses. TikTok’s account options and policies can change, so confirm them inside TikTok before switching.

Steps to add a website to your TikTok bio

1.
Open TikTok and tap Profile.
2.
Tap Edit profile.
3.
Under Links, tap Add next to Website if the option is available.
4.
Enter the complete destination URL, including https://.
5.
Save the profile, return to it, and open the link as a visitor would.

Test the link on the same phone you use for TikTok and, if possible, on another device. Confirm the page loads quickly, fits a mobile screen, and makes the promised next step obvious.

Why the website field may be missing

Your personal account has fewer than 1,000 followers

TikTok’s current support page sets a 1,000-follower threshold for non-business accounts. A URL typed as plain biography text is not equivalent to a clickable website field.

Your business registration is incomplete

TikTok specifies Registered Business Accounts, not simply any account displaying a business label. Check the account and verification area available in your region.

The feature is not available in your region or app build

TikTok says the feature is not available everywhere. Update the app, restart it, and check TikTok Help before assuming the account is broken.

The app is showing an older cached profile editor

After an account or eligibility change, sign out only if you know your login method, then reopen the app. Avoid unofficial workarounds or redirects that ask for TikTok credentials.

Match the link to the intent created by your videos. If almost every post promotes one launch, link directly to that launch. If your content supports several recurring destinations, use a short social landing page.

Product videos: the exact product or collection page.
Educational content: a resource page, course, newsletter, or related guide.
Creative portfolio: selected projects, services, contact, and external booking.
Music or podcast clips: the newest release followed by the main listening platforms.

Keep the top destination aligned with the video or series that currently sends the most profile visits. Remove expired offers instead of letting the page become an archive.

Write a better TikTok bio call to action

The website field does not explain why someone should tap. Use the biography to set an expectation, such as “Latest tutorial and resource list ↓” or “Portfolio and booking details ↓.” Keep the promise accurate.

Name the benefit or destination.
Use the same words in the video, bio, and landing-page headline.
Avoid promising a free download, discount, or result that the destination does not provide.
1.
Sending mobile visitors to a slow desktop-first homepage.
2.
Listing too many equal-priority links with vague labels.
3.
Leaving an expired campaign at the top of the page.
4.
Using a URL shortener that hides an unfamiliar or unsafe destination.
5.
Changing the profile link without updating the calls to action in current content.

Frequently asked questions

TikTok currently says a website link is available with at least 1,000 followers or with a Registered Business Account. Availability also varies by region.

You can type text, but it may not behave like the dedicated clickable website field. Test the published profile from another account.

Choose the narrowest destination that fulfills the promise in your videos. Use a direct page for one campaign and a compact link-in-bio page for several recurring actions.

Create a mobile-ready TikTok destination

Liink can combine a profile header, visual cards, text, sections, links, social profiles, external booking or shop destinations, video, audio, email, and files in one responsive grid. Liink does not change TikTok’s eligibility rules; it gives eligible accounts a focused destination to link to.
