Stan Store vs Linktree: Storefront or Link-in-Bio Hub?

Choose Stan Store when your bio destination needs to operate as a creator storefront with bookings, courses, recurring products, lead magnets, and a fixed subscription model. Choose Linktree when your first job is a familiar multi-destination profile, with optional digital products, courses, audience collection, analytics, and other monetization tools layered into the same link hub. Neither is automatically cheaper or better: the right choice depends on what you sell, your monthly sales, and which workflow you will maintain.

This comparison is published by Liink and is not independent. Liink is unaffiliated with Stan Store and Linktree. Official pricing and help pages were checked August 26, 2026. Plans, prices, seller fees, payment-processing costs, feature limits, currencies, country eligibility, and integrations can change, so verify the current checkout and help documentation before moving a revenue-producing page.

Stan Store or Linktree: the short answer

Start with Stan Store when products, courses, coaching calls, memberships, or a sales funnel are the page's main purpose.
Start with Linktree when you mainly need one recognized profile URL for links, embeds, social destinations, and occasional monetization.
Model the total cost at your real sales level. A fixed subscription and a percentage seller fee behave very differently as revenue changes.
Test the buyer experience, fulfillment, support, refunds, exports, and mobile editing before changing the URL in a live social profile.

Pricing and seller fees change the answer

Stan Store's official plan comparison currently lists Creator at $29 per month or $300 per year and Creator Pro at $99 per month or $948 per year. It states that a full free store plan is not offered. Creator includes the storefront, bookings, store and product analytics, unlimited courses, recurring subscriptions, lead collection, and community features. Creator Pro adds tools such as funnels, order bumps, payment plans, email marketing, affiliate management, and external pixel tracking.

Stan Store says it takes a zero-percent platform transaction fee and that Stripe or PayPal processing fees still apply. That does not make selling cost-free: the subscription, processor fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, currency conversion, and any external tools still matter.

Linktree's official pricing page currently shows Free, Starter, Pro, and Premium plans. Its digital-product help lists a twelve-percent Linktree fee on Free, nine percent on Starter and Pro, and zero percent on Premium, with payment-processing fees in addition. Product availability and plan prices may differ by billing term, promotion, currency, tax, and country.

Compare cost with your own numbers

Do not compare only the first monthly price. Estimate subscription fees, platform seller fees, payment processing, refunds, tax handling, email software, scheduling, course hosting, and the time required to run the workflow. A percentage fee may be inexpensive before a product has traction and expensive after sales grow. A fixed subscription may be efficient at higher volume but wasteful when you are still validating an offer.

For example, a twelve-percent platform fee on $500 of eligible sales is $60 before processing, while nine percent is $45. This example is arithmetic, not a quote or recommendation. It excludes the Linktree subscription where applicable, processor fees, tax, refunds, chargebacks, and any Stan Store subscription. Recalculate with current terms and your expected product mix.

Products, courses, and fulfillment

Stan Store is designed around selling. Its plan guide documents digital products, coaching calls, recurring subscriptions, community features, and unlimited online courses on Creator. Creator Pro adds sales mechanics such as funnels, upsells, order bumps, discount codes, payment plans, and affiliate tools. That makes Stan the more coherent starting point when the storefront and post-purchase experience are the business.

Linktree now documents paid and free digital products and a course workflow powered by Kajabi. Product purchases use Stripe, buyers receive access through Linktree's purchase area and email, and seller fees depend on the Linktree plan. Linktree may therefore be sufficient when monetization is one destination among many rather than the entire operating system.

Email, audience ownership, and analytics

Stan Store's Creator plan includes lead magnets and email collection. Creator Pro adds email broadcasts and automated flows tied to customers and purchases. The official help center also documents importing contacts, scheduling broadcasts, and tracking delivery, opens, clicks, click-through rate, and click-to-open rate. If email automation is central, confirm that the Pro cost and deliverability controls fit your process.

Linktree supports subscriber collection, analytics, and plan-dependent audience exports and integrations. Its help center currently documents Mailchimp and Google Sheets integrations on Pro and Premium. If your audience data must move into a separate email or CRM system, test the exact export fields and sync behavior before choosing a plan.

Choose from the job, not the feature count

Choose Stan Store when checkout, products, courses, bookings, customer delivery, and a sales funnel should live together.
Choose Linktree when one social profile must route visitors to many destinations and monetization is one part of a broader public identity.
Keep a specialist external store when it already handles checkout, fulfillment, tax, support, or subscriptions reliably; the bio page can link to it.
Do not migrate because one plan has a longer feature list. Move only when a missing capability blocks a real customer or maintenance need.

Steps to compare Stan Store and Linktree safely

1.
List the products, links, course lessons, booking routes, subscriber fields, automations, files, and reports you are entitled to retain.
2.
Build the smallest real offer in both products using the same title, image, price, delivery file, and support information.
3.
Complete a test purchase where the product and payment provider permit it, then inspect confirmation, fulfillment, refund, customer-data, and analytics behavior.
4.
Calculate twelve months of subscription, platform, processing, tax, email, course, and operations costs at conservative, expected, and high sales levels.
5.
Keep the old destination available until every live link, purchase path, download, email, mobile layout, policy, and support address works in the new setup.

Where Liink fits

Liink is a separate visual link-in-bio builder. It can organize image-led cards, links, media, files, social profiles, short links, and QR codes, then send visitors to the external store or booking tools you choose. Liink does not replace Stan Store's native checkout, course hosting, bookings, email flows, funnels, affiliate management, or customer fulfillment. It also does not claim parity with Linktree's full monetization and audience catalog.

If you want a visual front door while keeping commerce in a specialist service, build a small Liink draft with your own content and link its primary card to the existing store. Test that split workflow against a single-platform setup before changing a public profile.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stan Store cheaper than Linktree?

Not in every case. Stan uses a fixed paid subscription and states that it takes no platform transaction fee, while processor fees remain. Linktree offers a free plan and paid tiers, but seller fees for eligible digital products currently vary by plan. Compare the complete annual cost at your own expected sales volume.

Can Linktree sell digital products and courses?

Yes, Linktree's official help documents free and paid digital products and an online-course workflow powered by Kajabi. Paid availability, supported countries, price ranges, seller fees, processor requirements, and feature limits can change, so check the current help center and your account before publishing.

Does Stan Store have a free plan?

Stan Store's official Creator-versus-Creator-Pro guide says it does not currently offer a full free store plan. Affiliate-only accounts are not equivalent to a creator storefront. Verify the current offer because trials, promotions, and plans may change.

Should I use both Stan Store and Linktree?

You can use Linktree as the public directory and send a primary card to Stan Store, but the extra step may reduce clarity and divides analytics across systems. Test the real path on mobile. If selling is the dominant action, linking directly to the storefront may be simpler.

Can either tool replace a full website?

They can cover many creator-profile and selling workflows, but a full website may still be better for deep navigation, extensive editorial content, custom applications, complex search, or organization-wide governance. Choose the smallest system that supports the experience you actually need.
